Salkantay 5 days/4 nights

It is another alternative to get to MACHUPICCHU by the SALKANTAY route, it is considered one of the best routes because the level of difficulty is similar, the classic INKA TRAIL is programmed for people who like to enjoy nature and walk surrounded by different landscapes, such as the flora and fauna of the place.

FIRST DAY: CUSCO - MOLLEPATA - SORAYPAMPA
We pick you up at 5am, we board the bus to MOLLEPATA, we have a breakfast that is NOT INCLUDED in the tour continuing with the trip to CHALLACANCHA where we start the walk for a space of 2 or 3 hours through an inka canal, we arrive at SORAYPAMPA where we have lunch in the afternoon you can take advantage and visit the Humantay lagoon and on the way back we have dinner and we will spend the first night.

SECOND DAY: CHAULLAY
Very early in the morning after breakfast we resume with the hike to the snow-capped SALKANTAY which is the highest point of our tour, for approximately 4 hours, we ascend this first pass where we have a short rest, to take the views of the walk, on our walk we find several stone mounds called apachetas, then we will continue for 2 more hours until we reach WAYRACMACHAY where we have lunch resuming with our walk for 3 more hours we arrive at CHAULLAY where it is the second night of overnight stay and dinner.

THIRD DAY: CHAULLAY - SAHUAYACO - SANTA TERESA
After breakfast we leave for COLLCAPAMPA. where we will see different landscapes, flora, fauna and different natural waterfalls, for approximately 5 hours. To get to the beach of SAHUAYACO where we will have lunch, and then take a car to SANTA TERESA we settle in the camp and go to the hot springs of Cocalmayo, this is optional since dinner is not included in the tour at night and we will spend the night there.

FOURTH DAY: SANTA TERESA - HYDROELECTRIC - AGUAS CALIENTES
We leave 8.00am after breakfast, we go by car for an approximate. 30 minutes until we reach HIDROELECTRICA, there we will have lunch and then start the 3-hour walk along the side of the rail until we reach the town of AGUAS CALIENTES and we settle in the hostel and then at 7 pm go to dinner and then go to rest at the hotel.

FIFTH DAY: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHUPICCHU
After breakfast 5.30am we walk up until we reach the archaeological park of MACHUPICCHU, where we have a 2-hour guided tour and then the guide will give us free time to tour and take photos and then go down to AGUAS CALIENTES, and depending on the mode of return to CUSCO either by bus or train.
